This Greek wedding, hosted at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Virginia Beach, was no exception. From a moving church ceremony rooted in tradition to a luxurious reception filled with modern elegance, the day was nothing short of spectacular.

Videography: White Caps Film was there to film each joyful tear and ecstatic laugh—we can’t wait to see the cinematic highlight reel they craft.
Cake & Sweet Treats: Incredible Edibles Bakery wowed us with not just a show-stopping wedding cake but also a gelato bar that delighted guests of every age.
Hair Styling: Citrine Bride created timeless bridal hairstyles that withstood a full day of dancing and celebration.
Makeup: Lxsnchls Makeup added a touch of glam to ensure every bride and bridesmaid felt radiant.
Entertainment: Bobby B Events had everyone on the dance floor the entire night with an incredible mix of music, including traditional Greek tunes that added lively, cultural flair.
Florist: Wild Wish VB transformed the reception space into a floral masterpiece with lush arrangements of white roses, olive branches, and greenery that perfectly reflected the couple's Greek heritage.
Wedding Dress & Attire: Studio I Do Bridals outfitted the wedding party in breathtaking attire—from the bride's elegant gown to the chic bridesmaid dresses and suits.
Invitations: Minted Weddings set the tone with sophisticated, custom-designed save-the-date cards and wedding invitations.
Rentals: Waterford Event Rentals provided beautiful linens and chairs, while Curated Events Chesapeake rented stylish plates, goblets, and silverware that completed the tablescape.
Oysters: Cherrystone Aqua Farms delighted guests with fresh oysters, a true coastal delicacy!
Unique Highlights
Perhaps the most extraordinary part of this wedding was how seamlessly it married tradition with contemporary style. The day began with a stunning, emotion-filled ceremony at an elegant Greek Orthodox church. It was steeped in tradition, from the ceremonial crowning (Stefana) to the couple’s first steps as newlyweds in the ceremonial walk.
The reception at The MOCA carried on that celebratory energy but added a modern, stylish twist. One of my favorite elements was the custom seating chart display, complete with olive branches, tying the couple's heritage into the reception decor. Guests were treated to a genuinely interactive experience with a gelato bar, Greek dance lessons, and a live DJ that kept the energy high all night.
A Moment to Remember
One of the most heartwarming parts of the evening happened during the couple's dance when their friends and family surrounded them in a traditional Greek circle dance. It was a joyous moment that beautifully encapsulated the couple's love story and the close-knit community supporting them.
